Prince Harry is looking for wood making projects to do around the castle. Instead, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they’d started to split their royal household from that of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in mid-March—and by launching their own Instagram account today, Harry and Meghan are furthering that process.
Welcome to Instagram, SussexRoyal!

When Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace announced that Harry and Meghan would start their new household on March 14, sources said that there were no firm plans in place for the Sussexes to launch new social media channels. In the intervening time, the royals have clearly decided that giving Harry and Meghan their own Instagram account was the right way to go.
The Sussexes have yet to launch a separate Twitter account, however. It’ll likely be made clear soon if that will remain the case.
For their part, the royal family seems excited to welcome a new Instagram account into the fold. The Duke of York’s official account was quick to share a photo of Prince Andrew alongside Harry and Meghan. “Welcome to Instagram at @sussexroyal!” the caption read, going on to give the photo some context. “In July 2018, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex join The Duke of York at Buckingham Palace for RAF 100 celebrations.”
The royal family’s official account also directed its fans to follow the new, Sussex-only handle. “A new @Instagram channel for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex has been launched today,” read the caption. “@SussexRoyal will feature the work and activities of The Duke and Duchess.” The post featured a photo of Harry and Meghan during a recent walkabout, shaking hands with fans.
The Queen met 87-year-old who has volunteered at West Suffolk Hospital three days a week for 10 years. Ron found out about volunteering when he went to visit a friend in hospital. He says volunteering changed his life and helped him following the death of his wife.
